Hi! I’m Viji, a game writer and narrative designer. Here’s what I’ve worked on:
Ghost of Yōtei
Set 300 years after the critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei is a standalone experience set in 1600s rural Japan. The story follows a haunted, lone mercenary named Atsu. Thirsty for revenge, she travels through the beautiful, rugged landscapes of northern Japan, hunting those who killed her family many years earlier.
Take in the cultural beauty of Japan - bathe in an onsen, visit shrines to pray, try Sumi-e painting, and so much more.
I primarily contributed to this project as a member of the World Team, providing layout and environmental support to better enrich the setting of Northern Japan.
Monument Valley 3
Set sail for a world-changing adventure as you guide Noor in their quest through a series of mind-bending illusions and atmospheric puzzles.
I created narrative moments and dialogue for this third installment of the BAFTA award-winning Monument Valley series, a collection of evocative, Escher-inspired games. I worked on all stages of production for this title.
Desta: The Memories Between
A surreal tactical dodgeball adventure game that follows the dreams of Desta, a non-binary person returning home after two years. Find the right words to say, encounter old friends, unlock new abilities and land trick-shots to resolve memories.
I revised and wrote character bios, ability, and memoria descriptions. I also worked closely with design to iterate on post-launch challenge content and verified narrative continuity. It released in 2022 on Steam.
I verified the integrity of dialogue featured on the Pinar del Mar radio station and provided post-launch support for Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, the cross-platform game that released in 2021 on the PlayStation Store.
Alba: A Wildlife Adventure
An island photography game about community and conservation. Join Alba, as she collects signatures to save her local nature reserve. And possibly start a revolution.
Personal Projects:
This is a collection of smaller-scale games I worked on. I was the principal writer and designer on these projects, additionally providing art support.
